Movisi products adhere to strict ecological and socially-responsible production methods. Movisi furniture made from EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) is 100% recyclable, toxin-free, emission-free and 100% made in Germany. We are always working on minimizing our business operations' impact on the environment. What we do to secure responsible management of our environment and our resources:

Material efficiency: Our modular furniture systems are made from a single material called ARPRO EPP (Expanded Polypropylene), which is an environmentally friendly plastic foam material.ARPRO EPP contains 95% air and only 5% PP (Polypropylene) material. That makes the furniture lightweight, 100% recyclable, allergy friendly, emission-free and toxin-free (non-toxic furniture). The material is actually safe enough to eat (approved for food contact (same material as Tupperware).

Our MOVISI SONIC material, featured in these products, is an innovative construction derived from upcycled plastic bottles (PET, with a minimum post-consumer content of 60%). This material undergoes a unique process of felting and heat-bonding, eliminating the need for glue or additives. Recognized with LEED accreditation and Cradle to Cradle certification, our manufacturing process prioritizes optimal air and water stewardship, social equity, and recycling initiatives.
Certified by an independent institute, the origin of the PET fibers is traceable, and we are proud to collaborate with Impact Acoustic from Switzerland. They stand out as the only material manufacturer in the market capable of tracing 100% of their raw materials.

 


 

Minimal packaging

We avoid unnecessary packaging. Our goal is to keep waste towards zero. This is why we only use cardboard boxes for packaging our modular furniture. No additional packaging and padding material is being used.
 

Lightweight transport

Our furniture is very light in weight: this means that CO2 emissions are reduced during transport, as less fuel is needed to move the goods.
 

Recycling for more sustainability

EPP does not contain hydrocarbon, volatile organic components or other elements which are classified as being very harmful to the environment. Free of heavy metal, EPP is used in Movisi's lightweight furniture not only for the improvement of the product but also for the reduction of weight. Therefore, it contributes to the reduction of exhaust emission and fuel consumption. EPP can be recycled or burned, whereas the burning induces a high calorific value without corrosive gas emission. Furthermore, EPP is totally nontoxic so that it can be used without extra considerations - even the primary product - for the production of toys. EPP has achieved excellent environmental results in the LCA lifecycle report, verified by independent experts.
